Take Action

In order to effectively demonstrate and educate Senator Evan Bayh on why The Employee Free Choice Act (S.560) commonly known as "Card Check" is bad public policy which will adversely impact the economic health of Indiana, you need to make your voice heard by contacting the Senator and his staff. Stand up today before it is too late – Indiana can not afford EFCA.

1) Send an email to Senator Bayh and his staff. You can send the email through this website.

2) Call the district office closest to you and ask for the district director to register your opposition to S.560.

3) Write a letter – and mail or fax it to his main office in Indianapolis:

4) Attend a Town Hall meeting

Check the Senator’s website (bayh.senate.gov) and local newspapers to see if he will be conducting a town hall meeting or attending a civic event in your community. Then show up at the meeting and at the appropriate time, politely tell him why you oppose this legislation.

5) Set up a Meeting with Senator Bayh or a member of his Indiana staff.

Call the office closest to your community ask for the District Director tell them that you would like to schedule a meeting to discuss S.560

6) Write a letter to the Editor of your local daily and weekly newspapers.

7) Educate your local elected officials and your friends on this on this issue; let them know the impact this federal legislation will have on your city, county and state economy.
